It's not always smooth jazz.

  • Reading: The lyrics of Mr. Blue Sky
  • Watching: People cover Sonny Rollins's St. Thomas

Man, since the last time I updated this journal, a lot has gone down. I'll just say it wasn't all smooth, and the entire duet had unheard solo work that would've just thrown it into hell. Blech, it's in the past and now a paradigm to be disected to prevent it from happening again. Maybe sixth times the charm? Heh, if not then I just need to leave the duet scene for a while. Stay solo and work on somethin' to breath life into again. Or, it could just be the people I'm playin' with. Either way, all those jam sessions just keep on ringin' in me 'ead. I hope to forget, to remember and learn, which would only make sense if you read too deep.
Enough about music, I'll begin addin' things again. The few who watch me, you'll see somethin' from me in the next few weeks.

~Sonny Blue

Keep your friends close,
Your blood closer,
But leave your enemies not an inch to breath.

Standin' by their side,
Tryin' to be their guide.
Do not cry, old chum.
Be for them all.
It won't hurt as much if they leave.

Too close makes a good tune,
But it can sour like milk in the sun.
What was that hep sound, soon,
Dies in mistranslation.
The members read to much into what wasn't there,
Never givin' any feedback to the other
When they were to start again.

Don't slander them, though.
They were your band,
Just like you were their's.
Follow them and lead them,
Just some collective improvosation.

Time, the band needs it to sew.
Back together, hand in hand.
Helpin' eachother back up those stairs.
It'll be a fractured gem.
Just let the music keep a conversation.

It'll be swell,
then.
Friends again.
Until then, however.
Sometime, somewhere.
